"Senior Scammers" is a free community cybersecurity awareness program created and delivered by TechHelp founder Jeremy Wilson, designed to help older adults recognize, avoid, and respond to the digital threats targeting them every day. Because no one should lose their savings, their identity, or their sense of security to a scam that could have been prevented.
The Presentation
Senior Scammers is a one-hour interactive presentation covering the most common scams and cyber threats targeting older adults today — from phishing emails and phone fraud to social media scams and identity theft. Attendees leave with practical, immediately applicable knowledge and the confidence to navigate their digital lives more safely.
Topics include:
- Recognizing phishing emails and text message scams
- Understanding phone and impersonation fraud
- Social media privacy and safety
- Password hygiene and account protection
- What to do if you've been targeted or compromised
- How to talk to family members about digital safety
The presentation is free of charge and open to 55+ communities, senior living facilities, libraries, churches, civic organizations, and anywhere older adults gather.
